🥳 TRA COLLECTIVE 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY 🥳
It's our birthday!!!
Today marks the official 1 year anniversary of the launch of TRA Collective Store, and what a year it has been!
The past year has been an absolute blast, and as a thank you we are running a 10% off sale on our store (yes, including grading slots) for the entire weekend!
I want to take a quick look back at some of the milestones over the past year, as well as say thank you to a few key people.
When we began planning this service almost 2 years ago, we had high hopes that in our 1st year we might hit 2500 cards graded. The response and support from this community has blown our predictions out of the water, with 47818 cards submitted through the service in our 1st year!
A special thanks to Charlie Hurlocker for helping us establish the grading service, because without you it never would have gotten off the ground. I'd like to say thank you also to Chris Tannahill for all his assistance helping me pack submissions during the grading promotion periods (when some weeks we were receiving 5000+ cards a fortnight), and also to Peter R. Chipouras for his ongoing support as the operator of Ludkins USA.
TRA Road To Recovery
Charity has always been an important part of our community here, and in late 2020 we were proud to announce an official partnership with Kids Helpline. Being an Emergency Doctor, at work I am far too often reminded of some of the heart wrenching situations some of our youth find themselves in, so this certain charity is one that is very special to me.
Although our in-person charity event planned for 2021 had to unfortunately be cancelled due to the COVID situation here in Melbourne, our online charity drive has been a resounding success - with $90,591 raised so far and our $100,000 goal inching ever closer!
The brand that started it all saw a few newcomers being brought into the fold this year, with Jake Del Marco of DB Heroes Australia even running a massive Charity Auction in support of our fundraiser for Kids Helpline!
The TRAffiliate branch is always looking to support more local (and sometimes international) businesses, so feel free to reach out if you would be interested in getting involved!
I need to say thank you as well to my best friend Liam Hallinan who has been our IT Specialist over the past year, and has been responsible for maintaining our website and IT back end.
Lastly, I wanted to say a final thank you to my two partners in crime Ken Chin and Scotty Deayton, because without them this whole journey (and the many sleepless nights) wouldn't be anywhere near as fun as they are, and I'm humbled to get to share this experience with the two of you.
But most of all, I ♥️ you all.
